Central Pacific Bank, Chef Hui, and a coalition of local cooks and food service providers have teamed up to launch Meals 4 Maui, a program to provide locally sourced nutritious meals to those affected by the recent wildfires, as well as to support local restaurants on Maui.
How can you help?
At a CPB branch or online in the link below, you can donate money to Meals 4 Maui. Your donations will go directly to Chef Hui, who will use the funds to buy the ingredients and supplies needed for meal kits. Along with a coalition of local cooks and food service providers, Chef Hui will assemble and distribute the meal kits to help those affected by the recent wildfires.
100% of your donation will be used to curate holiday meals prepared by locally owned and operated Maui restaurants and chefs. Central Pacific Bank will match every dollar contributed up to a total of $25,000, making your contributions go twice as far while helping bring joy and relief to those who need it most.
As the holiday season draws near, let's work together to brighten Maui's path forward. Families, communities and businesses on Maui have faced significant challenges, so this is our chance to extend a helping hand and remind them we will be here for them as they rebuild. The Meals 4 Maui initiative goes beyond providing meals and supporting local restaurants - it's about spreading warmth and hope during the holidays. Together, we can make a difference.
Chef Hui's Maui Relief efforts, in collaboration with Central Pacific Bank, ensure that families and individuals affected by the wildfires receive not just meals but a sense of normalcy, holiday joy, and community support thanks to your donations.
$32 feeds a family of four a nourishing, chef-driven meal made of locally sourced ingredients, meaning your dollar is supporting three communities on Maui – local farmers, local restaurants, and displaced residents. Just like our friends at Chef Hui say, this program keeps farmers farming, chefs cooking and communities fed.
As we approach the holiday season your support will provide comforting, culturally relevant and delicious meals that show how much we care about those who have been displaced on Maui.
From November 15 to December 15, 2023, drop by any of our branches to donate in person.
Donations made in branch can be made via cash, check, or account transfer.

Chef Hui brings together local cooks and food service providers in Hawaii to serve their community and strengthen their connection to the food system. In times of need, Chef Hui activates their network of chefs and coproducers to provide culturally appropriate and locally sourced food to those in need. Through this work, they support farmers, independent producers, and like-minded organizations in pursuit of a more resilient, collaborative and compassionate world. With partners throughout Hawaii and beyond, their vision is to expand our efforts to support the Pacific region and collaborate with similar programs.
CPB is a leading community bank founded nearly 70 years ago by Nisei veterans who returned home from the war, but could not find the financial services they needed. Service to others is at the very heart of the bank's values, which makes a program like "Meals 4 Maui" so appropriate for an institution that cares deeply about the people and communities in Hawaii.
Central Pacific Bank is proud to partner with Chef Hui in the Meals 4 Maui Initiative. All proceeds from this holiday campaign will be used to feed those affected by the wildfires.
